Version 7.2.2 Important update for Multiphase Toolkit:
The diameter scaling of the droplet entrainment in gas was not correctly set for stratified flow when using Multiphase Toolkit in OLGA 7.2 and subsequent OLGA versions. This could lead to reduced liquid droplet entrainment for large pipe diameters, resulting in higher liquid content in stratified flow. Results obtained with Multiphase Toolkit are now consistent with OLGA 7.2.
Please notice that this issue is only related to Multiphase Toolkit and not to the OLGA simulator. Please read the Release Notes for all details. This document is part of the installation and should be read by all users.

- Tubings were duplicated in the Well editor when you saved and reopened a well editor case.
- If you changed the Initial conditions for a tubing in the Well editor, the changes were not saved.

| IMPORTANT |
The licensing of Compositional Tracking in OLGA changed after July 1st 2012. In order to continue to use Compositional Tracking after this date, a Compositional Tracking license system must be applied to or available on ALL computers that have OLGA 6 or OLGA 7 installed. Notice that this has no commercial impact as it is a pure technical / administrative issue.
In order to accommodate the users into the new licensing system, we have prepared an installation which ensures undisturbed use of the Compositional Tracking after July 1st 2012. The installation is part of the OLGA 7.2 installation, and can also be downloaded separately here. This download does not require username and password, as it is not a regular OLGA download/upgrade.

Version 2.1 OLGA Blowout Control
It is a great pleasure to announce the release of version 2.1 of OLGA Blowout Control. The new release is a maintenance release, containing both new features and improvements. Performance is a key issue addressed in this release; additional new workflow enhancements, include:
- An interactive IPR calculator is added to the Reservoir window
- Density profile plots for gas and mixture density is now added to OLGA Blowout Control
- There is no longer a mandatory pre-circulation performed when you start a simulation
- You can specify temperature, pore and fracture pressure as TVD instead of MD
- The reservoir definition now also supports Single Forchheimer
- You can now specify your own settings for absolute roughness for wellbore, drill string and open hole sections.
- OLGA Blowout Control now supports partial opening of the main well BOP
- You can now import Petrel well paths and Techlog LAS pore and fracture pressure
- Improved implementation of losses to the formation – also important for Bullheading
The new release continues to improve the workflow and makes it easier to perform relief well and blowout contingency planning.
Important: This release is available for customers with current lease contracts or active maintenance and support agreements; yet, may require an updated license file. If you need upgraded license files, have any queries as to the license validity or contractual status, please contact your local SPT Group office. |
